Summer Luncheon
Summer luncheons offer the opportunity to get together and socialize during the summer months. Our September Luncheon features Nate Boulter, Program Officer, Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network!
Child sex trafficking is the exchange of something of value for sex with a girl or boy under the age of 18. It is modern slavery for its victims, lucrative for the traffickers/pimps, and appealing to some individuals in all racial, ethnic and economic groups.
If you think this happens only in poor neighborhoods, Nate Boulter, our speaker today, says it takes place on the internet, in shopping malls, hotels, and at events which attract large numbers of people.
Last year Nate retired from the Mesa Police Department as a Sergeant. Over a 22-year career, he was involved in all levels of investigations from gangs to drugs, and human trafficking. He created and hosted training for undercover decoys and established a partnership with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office to better prosecute sex trafficking cases. He has worked to influence the revision of state statutes and city codes. He is a certified subject matter expert in the Arizona Court System in drug trafficking, prostitution and sex trafficking investigations.
Obviously, Nate has received numerus awards, citations, and commendations.
In July 2022, he joined the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network as a Program Officer. One of the sites he is now affiliated with is the Phoenix Dream Center, committed to stopping human trafficking, educating tomorrow's leaders, and ending childhood hunger.
Join us as we learn more and understand why Newcomers have chosen The Phoenix Dream Center as its spotlighted charity from August 15 to November 15.
