Traveling Beyond our Borders is designed to be a social evening for those who have traveled or lived abroad to discuss their experiences. We plan to have dinners which are themed around the country where the hosts have lived or traveled. The hosts share their adventures, experiences and stories with like-minded people. Everyone is welcome.
I will supply two entrees, coffee, tea, soft drinks and water as well as eating and drinking implements. Each member will be asked to bring either an appetizer, bread, salad, dessert or food item that reminds them of AFRICA. (I will send recipes). Each guest can choose one RECIPE which should only feed 12 (first come first choice on food items. Also, please bring a bottle of African wine (South Africa makes many).
Please Note: When there are last minute cancellations it is difficult to replace menu items, and the lost "dish" affects all of the participants as well as the host. Therefore if you must cancel after registration closes (one week prior to the event), you are asked to make/buy the dish you originally agreed to provide and arrange for its delivery to the hosts.
Registration Limit 20 EVENT WILL BE INSIDE UNLESS WARM WEATHER.
