Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development serves the vulnerable and homeless teens and young adults of our community. Tumbleweed provides a safe place where crisis and opportunity can intersect for these individuals in need. It offers a continuum of services and programs that meets complex immediate and long-term needs of this population. Programs include outreach and prevention, transitional housing, independent living and preparations toward self-sustainability and success.

Starbright foundation is a local 501(c)(3) that is dedicated to the rescue and protection of children caught in severe abusive situations including neglect, sexual abuse, child pornography and child sex trafficking.  Our focus is to be a beacon of light for children who suffer alone with little or no hope.  The Starbright foundation worked diligently raising funds to obtain a safe house.  This home is a place of recovery for child victims of abuse.  This is a home where children can heal in a family environment.  Children are offered free services, counseling and extended activities that promote healing.

The home is also used for hundreds of foster children to enjoy the amenities and come together for potlucks, horseback riding, swimming, birthday parties, life skill classes and family events.

The Starbright foundation has many partnerships in the valley with child welfare agencies and has a tremendous out reach program to help runaways, struggling families with children and those children lacking basic needs.  Starbright raises all of its own funds and also focuses on sex trafficking education with in the community for schools, youth groups, churches and first responders.

Our April Luncheon Donation benefits the St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance.  Founded in 1967, St. Mary’s is the world’s first food bank where individuals and companies  make food available to those in need.  Today, St. Mary’s Food Bank is one of the largest food banks in the United States, and is proud of the impact it has had on Arizona—and the world.
